Frequently Asked Questions
We’re located here in Knoxville, Tennessee. We work hard to make each supervised visit feel relaxed and easy for your family.
What is supervised visitation?
Supervised visitation is sometimes ordered by the court when parents require supervision and support during parenting time. Supervised visitation at Wildflower Visitation occurs within a secure environment, and all visits are closely monitored by highly trained professionals. Our goal is to provide a child-friendly, secure environment where children and their parents can interact in safety and without conflict.
How much does it cost?
The intake fee is $35.00.
On-site visitation is $65 per hour.
Off-site visitation starts at $65 per hour.
How long does it take to start services?
Before visitation can begin: both parties must complete a thorough intake process. In addition, a child orientation may be conducted depending on the age of the children involved. While individual circumstances may vary, the process generally takes 3 days to complete.
Why is supervised parenting time important to children?
No matter what causes a family to fall apart, children still want and need a positive relationship with both of their parents. We provide a safe environment for all involved.
What are the rules at Wildflower Visitation?
Supervised visitation at Wildflower Visitation is highly structured and designed to provide children with a stress-free environment, completely removed from the ongoing conflict in their families.
Will I see the other party/parent before, during, or after visitation?
There is no contact between the parties at any time.
Will someone be present with my children at all times?
Monitors are in close physical proximity to children at all times during the visit and record objective notes of activities. At the same time, a supervisor is providing oversight to all visits occurring at our facility and acting as a back-up for monitors in case of emergencies.
Can I bring food?
Wildflower Visitation has a kitchen section, so parents can bring food and even prepare a meal.
Can I hug or kiss my child?
We recommend allowing the child to set the tone for hugging or kissing, based on their comfort level. There are cases in which physical contact may be restricted, such as allegations of sexual abuse or severe physical abuse. This is determined during the Intake process.
How often can I visit with my children?
The schedule and frequency may be determined by the court or DCS. You can schedule 1, 2, up to 4 hours. Weekends are limited.
